Six Levels Service Guide
6 Unique Levels of Pipette Service Designed to Give Our Clients Many Options
Calibrate, Inc. offers 6 Levels of pipette calibration service. Levels 1 through 4 are not accredited to ISO 17025. Levels 5 and 6 fall under our ISO 17025 Accredited Service Program.
Level 1 Service is most often used by labs engaged in teaching and research at the university level.
Level 2 Service is most often used by labs who want the services provided by Level 1, yet require the additional documentation of the calibration event provided by our Quality Assurance Certificate.
Level 3 Service is most often used by private and public labs doing supportive research, often by contract, for laboratories regulated by the FDA, CLIA, or other regulatory body. These labs require documentation of each data point and the relative calculations, environmental conditions, and pass/fail status of each pipette serviced. Level 3 is used by many labs that require certification but do not want to pay the additional certification fee for an accredited service.
Level 4 Service is used by laboratories operating in a regulated environment. These labs are typically involved in clinical trials, forensic research, QA studies, or Quality Control and Manufacturing, and require complete documentation for both the As-Found and As-Left status of each pipette. Level 4 is used by many labs that require certification but do not want to pay the additional certification fee for an accredited service.
Level 5 is an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited service and is used by laboratories who want ISO 17025 accredited pipette calibrations and require only As-Left data. Level 5 Calibration Certificates document the environmental conditions present at the time of calibration, a statistical analysis of the instrument's performance, the process uncertainty associated with the calibration, and the final pass/fail status expressed in terms of imprecision, inaccuracy and K=2 confidence interval.
Level 6 is an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited service and is used by laboratories who want ISO 17025 accredited pipette calibrations and require both As-Found and As-Left data. At Level 6, customers receive an As-Found and an As-Left Calibration Certificate for each instrument calibrated. Calibration Certificates document the environmental conditions present at the time of calibration, a statistical analysis of the instrument's performance, the process uncertainty associated with the calibration, and the final pass/fail status expressed in terms of imprecision, inaccuracy, and K=2 confidence interval.
