Six Levels Service Guide

6 Unique Levels of Volumetric-Instrument Calibration Service Designed to Give our Clients Many Options

Calibrate, Inc.'s  levels 5 and 6 fall under our ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Service Program. Each level of service may be customized to meet your specific needs.

  • Level 1Service is most often used by labs engaged in teaching and research at the university level.
  • Level 2Service is most often used by labs who require basic documentation of the calibration event but not individual performance data for each instrument serviced.
  • Level 3Service is most often used by private and public labs doing supportive research, often by contract, for laboratories regulated by the FDA, CLIA, CAP or other regulatory body. These labs require "As Left" documented data only. Level 3 calibration certificates document the environmental conditions, provide a statistical analysis of the instrument's performance, and the final pass/fail status expressed in terms of imprecision and inaccuracy. Level 3 is used by many labs that require certification but not measurement uncertainty data for each instrument's calibration event.
  • Level 4Service is used by laboratories operating in a regulated environment. These labs are typically involved in clinical trials, forensics or pharmaceutical research, QA studies, or Quality Control and manufacturing. At Level 4, customers recieve an As-Found and an As-Left  calibration certificate for each instrument calibrated. Calibration certificates document the environmental conditions, provide a statistical analysis of the instrument's performance, and the final pass/fail status expressed in terms of imprecision and inaccuracy. Level 4 is used by many labs that require certification but not measurement uncertainty for each instrument's calibration event.
  • Level 5is an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited service and is used by laboratories who want ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibrations and require only As-Left data. Level 5 calibration certificates document the environmental conditions present at the time of calibration and provide a statistical analysis of the instrument's performance, the process uncertainty associated with the calibration, and the final pass/fail status expressed in terms of imprecision, inaccuracy and K=2 confidence interval.
  • Level 6 is an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited service and is used by laboratories who want ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibrations and require both As-Found and As-Left data. At Level 6, customers receive an As-Found and an As-Left calibration certificate for each instrument calibrated. Calibration certificates document the environmental conditions present at the time of calibration and provide a statistical analysis of the instrument's performance, the process uncertainty associated with the calibration, and the final pass/fail status expressed in terms of imprecision, inaccuracy, and K=2 confidence interval.
